The Wife of Delta governor Dame Edith Okowa has urged women to be positive in their actions
Dame Okowa said women should learn to be positive in their utterances and their actions at every point
in time she made the call on Tuesday in Asaba at the Mothers Arise Prayer Conference .
She also stressed the need for women to always think before taking action in order to avoid curses and sins.
Dame Okowa who is the Founder of “ the O5 initiative, noted that everyone has been commissioned as an evangelist to do the will of God, adding that this would go a long way in bringing peace to the society.
While thanking God for bringing the women from far and near to attend the programme, the wife of the Governor assured the women that God has heard their prayers.
She also said that the programme which started nine years ago through her predecessor, the wife of the immediate past governor, Mrs Roli Uduaghan had impacted many lives and the entire state.
According to her, Delta state is blessed, Nigeria is blessed and our families are blessed.
Also speaking at the occasion, Barr Kessiena Samson in a sermon noted that there is power in every spoken word that comes out from the mouth of every human.
“We should learn to speak positively and not negatively no matter what comes our way,’’ she said.
Barr Samson therefore urged women to be creative with their words.
The programme which cuts across denominations, attracted pastors, women from the 25 local government areas of the state. Including pastors wives, wives of traditional rulers, wives of senators, wives of national Assembly members,female legislators and wives of state Assembly members.
Prayers were offered for families, the state and the nation.
