A clergyman based in Agbor, Apostle (Dr.) Okenye Chuks Elisha, has said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s achievements have attracted support from all Deltans and residents of the state, irrespective of ethnic and religious inclination.
Apostle Elisha, who is the President of the Wind of Change Deliverance Ministry, Agbor, made the remark while addressing his congregation during their Sunday service, recently.
According to him, Gov Okowa has fulfilled a greater part of his electioneering campaign promises and should be returned for a second term to continue his good works, adding that the governor will emerge the best governor in the state and Nigeria in general.
He opined that “the Governor is a democratic leader; I’m convinced he will do better if voted in for the second tenure.
Okowa is a trusted individual and I personally advise Deltans to vote him in for a second tenur as that will trigger more achievements and attract more development to our state”, he said.
The cleric used the opportunity to advocate that Christians should participate
in politics so as to give the light of the world as prescribed by the Bible, stressing that “without believers going into politics and taking their place in power, the promises of God will not manifest”.
Apostle Elisha also informed the congregation of the various projects executed by the governor, including roads, rehabilitation of stadium and other on-going projects across the state.
“One good turn deserve another so we should participate and support Okowa in this coming election to encourage further development in our great state”, he declared.
He, therefore, encouraged Deltans to go and register for their Permanent Voter Cards to vote for the governor in 2019, even as he called for prayers for our leaders and the nation.
