A total of 177 successful candidates in the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force of Delta State origin yesterday left the state for the Police Training College, Lagos for training.
The successful candidates include young men and women selected from the recent screening exercise held at Police Command headquarters, Asaba.
Addressing the candidates, Delta State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Muhammad Mustafa, advised them to be good ambassadors of state and police force.
According to him “Count yourselves lucky to be selected, be hardworking and exhibit good conducts throughout the training.”
He enjoined them to justify the opportunity and serve the country with better heart and energy.
CP Mustafa used the opportunity to thank the state government for assistance to the police to facilitate the movement of the candidates.
The training is not easy but would enhance your performance on the job once you are finally recruited into the force.
Also, the Second in Command, DCP Ngozi Onadeko, urged them not to abuse the opportunity given to them but be up and doing to be successful.
“The training college is not a place of freedom but it is for serious persons, so, I implore you to make the state proud by coming tops,” he counselled.
